Our very own colt, Maryland's Best, born at the Campus Farm on February 12, 2014 is now a winner! He was known around the barn as Pax due to the snowstorm Pax that occurred the night of his foaling. He is by Rock Slide out of The Best Sister (Bess).
Pax took first place on September 10 at Laurel Park in a 5 ½ furlough race. The win is significant for the breeding program because breeders of MD-bred horses that come in 1st-3rd in Maryland races receive "breeder incentive funds." These funds will go directly into supporting the operation of the program.
